Homity Pie
Bridgnorth Rugby Club

PA System Hire & Sound Engineer

Friends of ours Mike Newey & Kate Hoare (also owners of Neon Sound Studios in Burntwood) asked us to provide a PA for their band Homity Pie's headline appearance at Bridgnorth's annual steam rally, held at the rugby club on the banks of the River Severn.

Arriving early, we meandered around the exhibits and tried not to eat to many donuts from the catering van (who can resist the aroma of hot donuts?!) before setting up and sound checking.

The four piece band entertained those that were camping in the field, plus many others, with their wide range of covers plus a couple of their own songs.

This gig was an opportunity for us to use our new Allen & Heath QU-32 digital mixer, which enabled us to keep all the kit side of stage and mix the show from an iPad. It's ideal for this sort of event where not much tinkering needs to be done during the gig, and there are no long multicore runs!
